What'sCreativity?
Accordingtothedictionarydefinitionof"create",ordinarypeoplearecreativeeveryday.Tocreatemeans"tobringintobeing,tocausetoexist"somethingeachofusdoesdaily.
Wearecreativewheneverwelookatorthinkaboutsomethinginanewway.Firstthisinvolvesanawarenessofoursurroundings.Itmeansusingallofoursensestobecomeawareofourworld.Thismaybeassimpleasbeingawareofcolorandtexture,aswellastaste,whenweplanameal.
Aboveall,itistheabilitytonoticethingsthatothersmightmiss.
Asecondpartofcreativityisanabilitytoseerelationshipsamongthings.Ifwebelievetheexpression,"Thereisnothingnewunderthesun,"creativityisremakingorrecombiningtheoldinnewways.Forexample,wemightdothisbyfindingamoreeffectivewaytostudyorabetterwaytoarrangeourfurniture,orwemightmakeanewcombinationofcameralensesandfilterstocreateanunusualphotograph.
Athirdpartofcreativityisthecourageanddrivetomakeuseofournewideas,toapplythemtoachievesomenewresuits.Tothinkupanewconceptisonething;toputtheideatoworkisanother.
Thesethreepartsofcreativityareinvolvedinallthegreatworksofgenius,buttheyarealsoinvolvedinmanyofourday-to-dayactivities.
何为创造力?
根据字典对“创造”一词的解释，普通人每天都是有创造性的。创造的意思是“使形成，使存在”——这是我们每天都做的事情。
我们以一种新的方式来看待或思考什么东西的时候，我们就是有创造力的。首先这包括我们对周围环境的认识。这意味着动用我们所有的感观去了解我们这个世界。这也许和我们备饭时辨认颜色、质地以及味道一样易如反掌。首先这是一种注意到别人可能忽视的事情的能力。
创造力的第二部分就是看清事物之间关系的能力。如果我们相信这样的表达“天底下没有全新的东西”，那么创造力就是以新方式重做或重组旧事物。比如，我们可以通过找到更为有效的学习方法或摆放家具的更好方式来体现我们的创造性，或者重新组合相机镜头和滤光器以创造出不同寻常的照片。
创造力的第三部分就是利用新想法的勇气和动力，把想法加以实施达成新的结果。想出一种概念是一回事，把这种概念加以实施是另一回事。
天才们所有的伟大工作都与创造力的这三个部分息息相关，但它们也与我们许多日常行为密不可分。
