Theexaminationnowplaysaveryimportantroleintherealmofeducation.Itisusedtodecidewhothebeststudentsare,whoshouldbepraisedandwhoshouldbeadmittedinuniversities.
Buttheexaminationmaymakepeoplethinkthatgaininghighmarksonlyissiftficient.Butinfact,itisnotthecase.Thestudentswhodon'tstudydiligentlymayscorehighbyhardrecitingandbeconsideredassuccessfulstudents.Thisisunfair."Excellence"oughttobeawardedtothereallyall-roundstudents.
Asaresult,theexaminationshouldbecombinedwithothermeanstomeasurethestudentsknowledgeandcapability.Afewquestionsgivenintheexaminationcannotcoverthewholefieldofthesubject.Emphasisshouldalsobeputoncheckingthestudentsabilitytoapply.应该取消考试吗?

考试在当今教育中有举足轻重的作用，它被用来判定谁是最好的学生，谁应该受表扬以及谁应该进入大学。
但考试可能使人认为取得高分就足够了，但事实并非如此。学习不好的通过死记硬背也可能得高分，从而被作为成功的学生，这不公平，“优秀”应属于那些全面发展的学生。
所以考试应与其他的方法联系起来测量学生的知识和能力。考试中的几个问题不能覆盖该科的全部，重点也应该放在检查学生的应用能力上。
